Creating engaging, usable information interfaces

Most touch screen devices and kiosks use Windows XP or similar as their operating system, and as such it is possible to create desktop applications that can run on these machines using Flash (on its own or extended with third party software such as MDM Zinc). This creates a lot of freedom in terms of design and creating really usable and engaging software for these devices.

Commonly these machines are used for providing information to users in shopping centres and at exhibitions, but you can also use them for much more complex applications. Additionally, you can integrate all kinds of data capture to analyse how the applications are being used so that the software can be constantly updated or tweaked in order to best serve the user.
