Thanks for your comment. Yes I should have pointed out that a basic web app can cache all the elements it needs in terms of the main assets, but if the app uses larger assets such as video this won’t be cached. Some native apps allow you to download all the content in one initial download, so if you watch a video, you watch it from your device. This is particularly important when using i.e. a 3G connection.

For web apps as mentioned “3G / WiFi connection always required” , it is not like that.

If their is web application like 1) virtual keypad ( ex 7Keypad) 2) calculator
application files will get stored ( html , css , js ) in user’s phone and user can open application
HTML offline.

In case back-end req/response is needed then “3G / WiFi connection always required” for both native app and web-app.
