This is a great round-up of the event, thanks for sharing. I would mirror most of your comments relating to the event. I did actually evolve a few ideas through the Advanced Link Building panel however so it was good to have a session that gave some commentary on what people are doing right now.

Hey Sadie - don't be desperate! Here is my presentation with the Social Media findings from the SEMPO Survey 2010 - enjoy and let me know what you think after your closer look!

Congratulation for the great article and great recap! I loved SAScon too, and I hope I will get invited again to participate next year.

By the way, Manchester rocks! =)

For me the PPC would have been better with an open Q&A with the floor and have the slides available but when it went to the vote most people opted for the slides so I'm sure other people enjoyed it more.

I think the negative SEO panel rumoured would be excellent, something for SEO's to get there teeth into.

Social media and SEO are getting closer, it was mentioned in the Social Panels that some SEO's only use Social Media for SEO but there is much more to it than that as the conference explained.

A panel on the expansion of SEO/SEM (or the right word for evolved SEO)would also be interesting I consider myself to be an SEO but within that I take on other aspects of internet marketing such as social media, Viral seeding, Conversion Rate Optimisation etc.

Paul, No one really got into the use of social media for link building, they touched upon articles and news articles, content networks etc it would have been a good point to bring up. There are so many ways to aquire links you would need much longer to go into it and many people like to keep their cards closer to their chest ;)

I was sorry to miss on Corporate Marketing and Social Media as there have been some really good reviews on that!

Thanks for the great write-up and feedback noted on the PPC Innovation panel.

What other sessions would you like to see added next year?

Great review Sadie. I'd have liked to go to the advanced link building session mainly because I reckon that is where the most cross-over between SEO and Soc Med is.

Develop a good relationship with a good, diverse range of bloggers/social site users (where links count for something) and you have a powerful source if juice.
